Adoption Program

The Muktuk Dog Adoption Program is designed to ensure a great match between retired dogs and new homes.

Our dogs retire at all ages - some dogs just aren't suited to dog-sledding! All our dogs are very affectionate and gentle, and are therefore good in a family setting.

However, they do love to run, so they do better in homes where there is a fair amount of activity such as walks, hikes, skiing, bicycling, etc. Before we adopt dogs we must feel sure that the dog is going to a good home - to people who understand the long-term commitment that's required.

If the relationship doesn't work out, we will take the dog back.

If your lifestyle cannot accommodate a dog but you wish to support their current life at Muktuk Adventures, perhaps you may be interested in financially supporting one of our retired dogs.
