This northern lights package will give you a great insight on how amazing Yukon Winters really are. Our rustic wilderness lodge will keep you comfortable and warm on the outside. While our cute and friendly dogs will warm your heart.
This particular package is adjusted to the time of the year. Our sledding season typically last until late March or early April, depending on conditions. This package included the lodging, meals, a visit to the wildlife preserve and hot springs.
Other activities such as dog sledding, snowmobiling or ice fishing can be added on if conditions allow at an additional charge.
At our unique location outside of the city limits and away from light pollution you will be able to relax and enjoy the mesmerizing night skies with a chance to see the Northern Lights. There still will be enough night time in April to get a chance to spot the aurora if they are active.
This package is perfect if you need a break from your hectic life style, enjoy the company of dogs and good food.

Itinerary
Arrival day
Day 1 We will pick up at a hotel in Whitehorse or at the airport. Pick up time will be anytime in the afternoon of the first day. From there it will take us about 25min to reach the Muktuk Lodge. Guest will check in their rooms or cabin and have an introduction to our lifestyle with the dogs. We also go over the winter clothing. We supply parkas, pants, boots and mittens. Afterwards you are free to explore the dog yard and the surrounding property until dinner is served around 6pm.
After dinner you can relax in our common rooms, enjoy the privacy of your bed room or cabin, or dress up in the warm winter clothing we provide and wait outside in the hope for the northern lights.
Dog sledding and Wildlife preserve
Day 2 We will go to the Yukon Wildlife preserve. The Yukon Wildlife Preserve is a unique wildlife viewing property featuring 13 species of northern Canadian mammals in their natural environment. Encompassing over 700 acres with various natural habitats, the Yukon Wildlife Preserve offers unparalleled wildlife viewing and photo opportunities.
After learning all about the Yukon Wildlife, it is time for our visit to the Eclipse hot springs and spa. The perfect facility to relax while soaking in hot water, enjoying a steam room or sauna. You will feel rejuvenated after this 2 hour visit.
Dinner will be at the Muktuk Lodge. Another night awaits with a chance to hopefully see the aurora.
Catching up on sleep and just enjoying the tranquility of our lodge
Day 3 After two long nights of hoping and waiting for lady aurora to make an appearance, today is the day to sleep in, ready a book by the fire place, go for a walk and enjoy nature. All on your own time.
If conditions allow there is the option to add on some dog sledding, snowmobiling or ice fishing at an additional charge. Due the to time of the year those option will be last minute and decided once you are on site.
Departure
Day 4 We will bring you to the airport or a hotel in downtown, depending on your travel arrangements.

Day 1 and Day 4 are arrival/departure day only. No activities are planned for those days. We recommend that you arrive in the afternoon of Day 1 so you have some time to settle in and enjoy a meal with us before your adventures starts on Day 2.
