The upper Takhini is a hidden gem. With beautiful crystal clear waters at Kusawa Lake and surrounded by mountains the river is winding its way through the Ibex Valley.

Our experienced guides will teach you all there is to know about paddling.

What this canoe trip is all about.

Canoe trip will start at beautiful Kusawa Lake. It will be a 1.5 hour scenic drive from Whitehorse to reach out destination. Part of it will be on the historic Alaska Highway before we turn off on a true Yukon gravel road that winds through boreale forest before opening up to mountain views and the lake in the distance.

We will spend 3 nights camping along the shores of the Takhini river. Our guide will pick the perfect camp spots and will prepare delicious meals for you. Evenings are spent in camp enjoying the sounds of nature and basking under the midnight sun.

We will paddle right up to our Lodge. It is only a 5minute walk from the river shore to the the comfort of our home. 
This Canoe trip is perfect for Families with children. There is no experience required to paddle the Takhini River.  We can also customize it to be only a 2 night camping trip.

If you want this to be a more well rounded trip and experience the full extend of our incredible hospitality including endless cuddles with our amazing dogs, you can add on the night before and after the trip at our lodge.
