This Yukon River Trip will create memories to last a lifetime.

As with all our Yukon River Trips you will be enjoying your first and last night are our cozy wilderness lodge. From the moment you arrive you will become part of our family.

For this Yukon River Trip we will shuttle to Carmacks. From there we will be paddling for approximately 420km to Dawson City. From the well know Five Finger Rapids, the historic site of Fort Selkirk and the charming town to Dawson City, this river trip will take you back in time.

Along the way you will be in awe while paddling through endless Yukon wilderness. The scenery is amazing and one just never knows what might be around the next bend, there could be a moose crossing the Yukon River or a bear strolling along the shore.

Our experienced and licensed river guides will pick the perfect camp spots and you will be indulging in some amazing meals under the Midnight Sun. Muktuk Adventures also supplies all the camping gear needed on this river trip. incl sleeping bags and therm-a-rests so you really don’t have to worry about anything. There is no experience required to paddle on the Yukon River.

This Yukon River Trip will be a once in a lifetime adventure you do not want to miss.

Day 1 – Arrival at Muktuk Adventures. Your guestroom or cabin is reserved for you in our unique B&B. We are located in the breathtaking Ibex Valley along the Takhini River. You get to meet the 4 and 2 legged family members of Muktuk and settle in.

Day 2 – Getting Ready. We will go over all the gear and make sure everybody is set for their adventure and then go for a scenic drive along the Klondike Highway to Carmacks from where we will start our adventure.

Day 3 to 11 Yukon River. Our journey will take us through some breathtaking country. The shores of the Yukon are home to many different species of Yukon wildlife and we might see grizzly bears, black bears, moose, beavers and an abundance of birds. We will camp along the Yukon River and enjoy some delicious campfire meals.

Dawson City – Time to explore

Day 11 and 12 – Dawson City. Home of the Yukon Gold Rush. This old western style city has a lot of charm and we will have a couple days to explore its rich history

Day 13- Return to Muktuk Adventures. We will depart Dawson in the morning and will be back at Muktuk in the afternoon. Another chance to catch a glimpse of some Wildlife on our 8hour drive back to the Muktuk Lodge. One more night at the lodge to spend time with the dogs and share stories of your adventures.

Day 14 – Departure. We will bring you to the airport for your departure flight or to downtown depending on your travel arrangements.
