Birdwatching in Tombstone

For the avid or novice birder, this is a very special adventures that combines the love of birds, wilderness and nature.

One sure sign that spring has arrived is when the melodies of the song birds return. After a long journey from the south, some will make their home in the southern part of the Yukon, while others will continue further north.
Join us on their journey and marvel at the vast and beautiful Yukon landscapes.

The first night in the Yukon will be spent at our beautiful lodge. Nestled in an oxbow of the Takhini River, surrounded by boreal forest. The perfect area for a nice evening walk. You can test out your gear and train your ears and eyes to spot birds.

Road trip, here we come.

The following morning we will head out bright and early for our road trip to Tombstone Territorial Park.
We will set up camp for 3 nights at the park, and venture from there in the quest of spotting migratory birds. Some adventures will be by foot directly from our tents. Others we will drive along the highway and stop on ponds and rivers to try our luck.

After 3 nights of camping, we will make our way to Dawson City, where a well deserved shower will await us. We will spend 2 nights in Dawson. This will give us full day to enjoy the historical city and learn about the first nation culture as well as the gold rush. And of course we can still look for birds while we are in Dawson.

Spring is not only perfect for birding, it is also baby season. Other than birds, there is a chance we might see moose, grizzly, elk, beavers, foxes, coyotes and more.

With a maximum of 4 participants, this birdwatching adventure might be your best one yet.
