Paddling in the Yukon at its best

Rapids, calm water, wildlife and amazing scenery all in the same day

This is the ultimate full day guided canoeing trip. The upper Takhini river has breathtaking views of the mountains surrounding the Ibex valley. The river will start calm just out of Kusawa lake and have a little ripples here and there. The Jaws are some fun short rapids for the adventurous guest, or an easy and short portage for the less adventurous ones. The choice is yours.

After a break with a delicious shore lunch we will continue on our full day canoeing trip down the now calm and peaceful Takhini River. The Ibex valley is home to a herd of Elk, Beavers,Otters, bold eagle and golden eagle, and abundance of other birds. Grizzly’s and Black Bears can be spotted along with moose, lynx and more.

Our take out point will be Mendenhall Landing, an important excess point during the Kluane gold rush

There our shuttle will be waiting for the return trip to Muktuk Adventures.
