Short and Sweet – Camping trip to Lake Laberge

Lake Laberge, mostly know because of the Robert Service poem, is a must stop on your visit to the Yukon. With only one night camping, this is the ideal trip if you are short on time or just not that much into camping.

We will meet you at your hotel in Whitehorse. After a short 20 to 25min drive we arrive at our idyllic Wilderness loge. Located along the shores of the Takhini River this is the perfect starting point for our adventure. Once at our lodge we will set you up with your life jacket and paddle.
Just a few steps behind the lodge the canoes will be waiting to be loaded with your personal gear.

From there we enjoy and easy float down the Takhini River for about 14km before we reach the confluence with the Yukon River. Perfect to practice your stroke. We will enjoy the faster current of the Yukon River before we stop for shore lunch, and a little later in the day for dinner.

The next morning we continue our paddle to Lake Laberge. Lake Laberge is an impressive 50km long lake, know for its unpredictable conditions. Our guides will keep you on the safest and easiest course for the 10km that we will paddle on the Lake.

Indulge into some delicious food, the chance to see wildlife along the way while you bask under the midnight sun.

This canoe adventure is suited for the novice paddler. It is focused on spending time outdoors and enjoy nature, rather than spending long days on the water.
